FAISALABAD Nov 28, 2025: Safeguarding and anti-doping awareness calling for collective action to protect sportsmen integrity and the spirit of fair competition. It was said by the President of Athletics Federation of Pakistan Brig Wajahat Sahi at national seminar on “Safeguarding and Anti-Doping” hosted by University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF). The event was organized by UAF Directorate of Sports/ Sports Board. While addressing, he highlighted that safeguarding and anti-doping awareness have become essential components of modern sports management. He appreciated UAF’s efforts for bringing experts together on this critical subject and reaffirmed AFP’s commitment to promoting clean and safe sports across Pakistan. UAF Sports Board Chairman Dr Rana Iqrar said that the Sports Directorate is fully committed to creating a safe, disciplined and supportive environment for all athletes at UAF as University is dedicated to nurture an environment where integrity, safety and athlete welfare remain top priorities. UAF Director Sports Atif Shafiq Bhatti emphasized that safeguarding and anti-doping education are essential for guiding students toward clean and responsible sports practices. He highlighted that the modern challenges in sports and expressed hope that such awareness will inspire athletes to uphold integrity and strive for excellence. Govt College University Faisalabad HOD Health and Physical Dept Dr Saeed Javaid noted that today’s sports professionals must understand ethical boundaries and health risks associated with prohibited substances. Director Sports COMSAT Dr Rehan Yousaf, UAF Asst Director Sports Wajid Ali, Athletic Federation Head Coach Asghar Gill also spoke on the occasion.
