University of Agriculture Faisalabad and Kohsar University Murree inked a Memorandum .

FAISALABAD Dec 2: University of Agriculture Faisalabad and Kohsar University Murree inked a Memorandum of Understanding to foster academia and research ties. The MoU was duly signed by UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali and KUM Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Rafia Mumtaz. As per agreement, both institutions will develop research and academic linkage in the areas of mutual interest and develop a long-term partnership in order to bridge the gap between both the academic institutes. They will conduct joint applied and industrial research. They will also jointly train students, the mentoring professionals, and top management with the right set of professional knowledge & industry practice through joint capacity building and faculty development program. They will jointly work on research and development projects, innovation endeavors and commercialization. They will promote problem ideation and design thinking among students & faculty of the institutes in order to identify projects of joint industrial research, business/market intelligence, and new product development initiatives. They will arrange professional trainings/workshops/seminars under joint faculty. Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali said that the partnership will bring tangible results. He said that the university was working with different national and international organizations. He added that as per QS ranking, UAF ranked as 34th best university across the globe in the subject of agriculture and forestry. Dr Rafia Mumtaz said that through innovative programs, cutting-edge research, and meaningful collaborations, they were equipping students with the skills and mindset needed to thrive in a global knowledge economy. Director Research Prof Dr Zahid Abbas, Dr Zubair Aslam and others attended the meeting.
