Greyhound Derby Championship at the Tent Pegging Ground.

FAISALABAD Dec 06: The University of Agriculture, Faisalabad opened Greyhound Derby Championship at the Tent Pegging Ground in which greyhounds remained a centre of attraction for greyhound lovers. The derby was arranged by Directorate of Farms UAF in collaboration with Gill Kennel. In his message, UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali said the University is considered the custodian of rural culture. He said that such competitions not only provide entertainment opportunities but also strengthen the ties between farmers and agricultural scientists. He said that being the first agricultural institution of the subcontinent, UAF is taking all possible steps to address the agrarian problems. Director Farm Dr Muhammad Aslam that it was meant to present the golden moments of rural culture before the participants and to strengthen farmers and scientists ties. Chief Organizer Dr. Haroon Zaman said that countrybred and around greyhound are taking part. He said that it is annual ritual of the university.
