FAISALABAD December 17: The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) arranged art gala, featuring startups, visual, graphic and textile designs related to handicrafts and painting, clothing, jewelry and innovative business plans. The work depicts the creativity and entrepreneurial skills of the students. As many as around 100 stalls were put on display by the students of Faculty of Arts and Humanities, which remained the center of attraction for the audience. Art lovers in droves thronged the varsity to have the joy of colors of artwork The art gala was inaugurated by University of Agriculture, Faisalabad Vice Chancellor Dr. Zulfiqar Ali, who was flanked with City Traffic Officer Faisalabad Nasir Javed Rana, Faisalabad Medical University Vice Chancellor Dr. Zafar Ali Chaudhry, GC Women’s University Vice Chancellor Dr. Kanwal Amin, Director Public Relations Faisalabad Maqbool Malick, Dean Arts and Humanities Dr Shazia Ramzan, Kiran Khalid and others. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali called for promoting innovative approach, creative thinking and entrepreneurial skills among the young generation for bright future and ward off the economic woes. He said that art is not just a hobby but it is a powerful means of expressing thoughts and emotions. He said that this art gala will play an important role in highlighting the dedication and hidden talents of the students for starting startup. He said UAF has always played a vital role in nurturing and refining inner traits and creative abilities of the students. Nasir Javed Rana artists see the world minutely and presents in an attractive way. He said it is heartening to see such creativity and passion among the students. He said that besides academic learning, such platforms are indispensable for personality grooming and development. Dr. Zafar Ali said that the artist presents the inequalities and beauties of the society in a good way, which broadens the perspective of the viewers. Dr. Kanwal Amin said that we have to develop innovative and creative thinking in the young generation. She praised the steps of the university for honing the skills of the students Dr. Shazia Ramzan said that in the today world where people were facing anxiety, such galas do not only provide an opportunities to get refuge from monotonous routine but also enhance the entrepreneurial skills of the young generation so that they can become job providers rather job seekers. She said that it is ritual of the university to arrange such events, providing platform to showcase talents. Kiran Khalid said that the university has a tradition of continuously organizing programs to highlight the hidden talents of the students.
