Annual function of the Academic Staff Association and Staff Club.

FAISALABAD Jan 1: University of Agriculture Faisalabad Vice Chancellor Dr. Zulfiqar Ali has said that the university is striving hard to ensure best manpower and solution-oriented research as a step towards agricultural development. He addressed the annual function of the Academic Staff Association and Staff Club. He said the university has introduced e-filing system in 2025 by bringing technology in administrative affairs, ensuring transparency and timely completion of work. He urged the faculty members to come up with innovative ideas and tangible research works to address the agricultural challenges. He said that other development projects including Pharmacy Building, Sports Complex, Pak Korea Nutrition Center and others have been completed, while the new building of Faculty of Arts and Humanities and Stat Department are near completion. He said that during the tenure of former Vice Chancellor Dr. Iqrar Ahmed Khan, academic, research and infrastructure of the university has improved manifold and this university is listed in 50 universities in the world in the subject of agriculture and forestry. He said that in 2025, the university research portfolio has increased to Rs 200 million and coordinated efforts should be made to further increase in 2026. He appreciated the services of Director ORIC Dr. Rao Zahid Abbas and Registrar Dr. Asif Kamran. He said that steps should be taken for further excellence in the campus life of the students. He said that as many as 33,000 students are getting education in the University, however, the student-teacher ratio is high and selection boards will be conducted soon. On this occasion, Dr. Rao Zahid Abbas, Dr. Ashar Mehfooz, Amir Saeed and others also spoke.
