QS World University Subject Rankings.

FAISALABAD March 26: In another milestone, the University of Agriculture Faisalabad has emerged as 33rd top-ranked University in the subject of Agriculture and Forestry and 61st best institution in the Veterinary Sciences as per QS World University Subject Rankings. It has strengthened its global academic standing by securing a remarkable position. The university has been ranked 33rd among 475 universities worldwide in the Agriculture and Forestry, emerging as the only institution from Pakistan to feature among the top 100 globally in this discipline. As per ranking, UAF has shown notable progress in Veterinary Science also by securing the 61st position worldwide, improving from its previous 84th rank. The rankings are based on key performance indicators including academic reputation (50%), employer reputation (10%), citations per faculty (15%), H-index (15%), and international research network (10%), reflecting the institution’s growing research impact and global collaboration. UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali has congratulated the UAF community on these remarkable achievements and hoped that the University will continue to excel at the national and global fronts. He said that being the first-ever agricultural institution in the subcontinent, it is committed to lead the change through innovation, discovery, academia and tangible research work in order to ensure agricultural uplift and food security. The University officials termed the accomplishment a moment of pride for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and stakeholders, highlighting that the milestone underscores UAF’s sustained commitment to academic excellence and innovation. They further expressed confidence that continued strategic efforts and focused initiatives will help the university climb even higher in global rankings, reinforcing its role as a leading hub of agricultural education and research.
