FAISALABAD April 7: University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) has added another feather to its cap as its student Alishba Kamal has achieved the remarkable distinction of becoming National Boxing Champion 2026, by securing the Gold Medal in the Featherweight Category. The championship was arranged by Pakistan Boxing Federation and Pakistan Army. UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali termed the victory as a proud moment for the institution. He commended the unwavering determination and said that such achievements highlight the university’s commitment to promote a balanced environment where both academics and sports thrive. Chairman Sports Board Dr Haroon Zaman and Director Sports Muhammad Atif Bhatti also lauded the efforts of young boxer for her exceptional performance. They expressed hope that her success would motivate other students to actively participate in sports and strive for excellence at national and international levels. They said that Alishba Kamal’s triumph stands as an inspiring example of hard work and resilience, encouraging young athletes to pursue their ambitions with confidence and dedication.
