FAISALABAD April 30: The Academic Council University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) was held. It was chaired by UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali whereas agenda of the meeting was presented by Registrar Dr Asif Kamran. The meeting recommended the new degree programs and other initiatives. Dr Zulfiqar directed the House to take all possible steps in order to ensure quality education keeping the challenges of the modern era in view. He said that UAF has secured the 33rd position in the QS World University Rankings in Agriculture and Forestry and 61st in Veterinary Sciences by subject. This achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of our faculty, researchers and students, and reinforces our standing as a leading institution at both national and international levels. He said that quality education is the foundation of progress and at UAF academic programs are carefully designed to equip students with not only strong theoretical knowledge but also practical skills, critical thinking and innovation. He added UAF continuously updates curricula to align with international standards, ensuring that our graduates are well-prepared to meet global challenges. He said that research is a cornerstone of our university’s mission. He said that UAF has consistently contributed to impactful research, particularly in the fields of agriculture, food security and sustainable development to benefit society and strengthen the national economy.
