FAISALABAD May 18: An 8-member Korean delegation led by CEO Lee Jae Ho and OAKS CAF Pvt. Ltd Chairman Seojung visited University of Agriculture, Faisalabad and held meeting with UAF Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali and top management of the varsity at the Syndicate room. The meeting was held under the auspicious of Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC). Presenting his briefing, Lee Jao Ho said that the visit is a first step towards mapping out the potential of making an investment in the livestock and dairy sector under a proposed project on fodder production and processing enhancement project 2028-31. He said that Pakistan was facing chronic qualitative and quantities shortage of 40-50 percent of fodder during critical lean periods directly limiting its milk yields and meat production. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali while describing fodder production and its shortage a grey area, stressed the need to address it through enhancing national and international collaborations. He told the delegation that UAF has a cattle farm of 400 cattle and a farm land of nearly 700 hectares in 6-7 different locations that provide it a distinctive position for such collaborations through NARC. He told that he is among the team of a consortium who introduced some fodder varieties to fill the gap of fodder production in the country.
