In a landmark achievement for Pakistan's academic and scientific community, the Pakistan Veterinary Journal (PVJ), Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, University of Agriculture Faisalabad has attained an impressive Journal Impact Factor (JIF) of 6.5 in the 2025 Journal Citation Reports (JCR), securing the 5th position among 170 journals worldwide in the field of Veterinary Sciences.

FAISALABAD June 18: In a landmark achievement for Pakistan's academic and scientific community, the Pakistan Veterinary Journal (PVJ), Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, University of Agriculture Faisalabad has attained an impressive Journal Impact Factor (JIF) of 6.5 in the 2025 Journal Citation Reports (JCR), securing the 5th position among 170 journals worldwide in the field of Veterinary Sciences. The journal has maintained its prestigious Q1 ranking, further strengthening its position among the world's leading veterinary science publications. According to the latest JCR data, PVJ is ranked 5th out of 170 journals globally in Journal Impact Factor (Veterinary Sciences) category. It has also achieved an outstanding Journal Citation Indicator (JCI) of 2.58, placing it 2nd among 170 journals worldwide. These remarkable achievements reflect the journal's growing international influence, scientific excellence, and contribution to advancing veterinary research. The campus community congratulated UAF Vice Chancellor and Patron in Chief of the Journal Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali, Faculty of Veterinary Science Dean and Editor-in-Chief Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shahid Mahmood, and Editor Prof Dr Rao Zahid Abbas on their continuous guidance for this landmark. Editorial Board of Pakistan Veterinary Journal acknowledged the invaluable contributions of researchers, reviewers, faculty members, students, and collaborators from Pakistan and across the world who have consistently supported the journal through high-quality scientific contributions and rigorous peer-review processes. Speaking on the occasion, university representatives termed the achievement a proud moment not only for UAF but also for Pakistan's higher education and research sector. They noted that the journal's outstanding ranking demonstrates the growing global recognition of Pakistani research and the ability of local institutions to compete with the world's best scientific publications.
